Funding is available for families that need financial help in order to make camp a reality. The TIC Summer Camp Campership Program is supported by generous friends of TIC Summer Camp that donated during the American Camp Association Camp Moves Me campaign. These funds are specifically earmarked for female-identifying campers. In addition, TIC Summer Camp is matching the amount raised during the Camp Moves Me Campaign in order to provide partial tuition assistance to help make camp affordable for everyone.
It is our hope that each family would pay what they can to help us extend financial assistance to as many families as possible. The application helps us determine how to distribute the funds we have allocated for campership program. The information collected is considered completely private and is only collected to determine need. TIC reserves the right to make the final decision regarding any campership funding awarded.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need on a first come, first served basis. Campership applications are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis until the funds are depleted. We recommend submitting your application as soon as possible as funds are usually distributed by April 15.
To apply for a campership, the following steps must be completed in entirety:
- Register for camp and pay the $200 deposit. Do this now before camper spots fill up. If the scholarship awarded is not enough for the camper to participate, the deposit will be fully refunded.
- Complete campership application
Typically, camperships awarded cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the total cost. This amount could vary based on your circumstances. It is our general expectation that each family would be able to pay a minimum of $200 per camper.
