For a long time there has been this misconception that being an athletic or technology camp counselor isn’t a real job because supposedly all you do is “just play games”- [insert facepalm]. While having fun and playing games is a crucial part of camp it isn’t the only components of being a counselor. Being a counselor requires communication, teamwork, and caring for many camper at the same time. The essential skills you will gain while being a counselor will translate to future employment opportunities and will undoubtedly make you an asset to any company or organization.
