SPECIALS

Specials operate each day during the Athletics portion of camp, for approximately one hour. There is limited availability for each, and campers can only participate in one extra cost option per session. Extra cost options are voluntary and campers who do not sign up will enjoy an array of sports, crazy games, and fun activities.

  • KIds painting in Creative Arts Program

    Arts and Crafts

    Campers who would like to explore their artistic talents during a portion of athletics may sign up for Creative Arts. For one hour, campers will participate in several, age-appropriate projects including, collages, watercolor, Tessellations, Zentangles and lots more. Campers will also be able to bring home some of their creations at the end of each week.

    The fee for adding Creative Arts is $50. Available in DC & VA.

  • Hands in dirt

    Outdoor Learning

    Campers will enjoy getting their hands dirty and their minds buzzing. Taking advantage of the beautifully wooded, 9-acres in McLean, VA, TIC offers nature-based activities; birding scavenger hunts, squirrel facts and observation, outdoor gardening with worm investigation, flying a kite, shadow art, rock balancing, and loads more.

    The fee for adding Outdoor Learning is $50. Available in VA.

  • Table Tennis

    Did the Olympics inspire you too? Ping Pong is all the rage but not everyone can be good at it. Learn the rules and basics of how to play, including Forehand and backhand drive, forehand and backhand push. Other elements like; serving, how to control and aim the ball, then campers will practice and partake of friendly competitions against each other.

  • 3 kids in Drama Program

    Drama

    Campers will participate in one hour of drama every day during athletics. Campers will create their own original play, which will be performed for the whole camp on the last day of the session. Drama campers will also have the opportunity to enhance their theater skills by engaging in improv games, projection exercises, and other related activities.

    The fee for adding Drama is $50. Available in DC & VA.

    Chess

    Chess IS a sport. Campers in DC will learn how to set up the chess board, how to move the pieces, and discover the special rules. For beginners, campers will play mini-games to understand the nuances of each piece with games like pawns v pawns or just pawns and kings. As campers progress in their one hour session per day, other strategies and skills will be introduced and mastered.
