What does Inclusion mean to us?
Being "inclusive" means fostering a camp environment and culture that works to actively remove barriers for participation, systems of inequity, and the reinforcement of stereotypes. This is an on-going process that we continually evaluate and change.
Our current inclusion practices include but are not limited to:
Neurodiversity: Multiple methods of communicating schedules and information to campers and families, extensive staff training on learning styles, an attempt to accommodate all of our camper’s learning needs.
Gender Equity: GROW, all-gender restroom options, regular use of pronouns, extensive staff training on gender equity.
Racial Equity: TIC DEI Task Force, valued community partnerships with organizations, extensive staff training on racial equity.
