Virtual Camp Participation Terms.
Parents/Guardians must review these guidelines with their camper(s) prior to participating, as well as discussing basic Internet safety.
No participant will engage in any form of cyber-bullying, including but not limited to: hurtful or threatening messages, exclusion, offensive comments, or inappropriate content/language.
Participants will listen to and follow the instructions of Staff at all times.
Participants will not share personal information such as email, phone number, address, school, photos of themselves, or social media handles via Zoom. If a Staff member needs any of this personal informationfor any reason, TIC year-round staff will contact the Parent/Guardian directly.
Participants will not contact TIC Staff outside of the official channels provided by the year- round staff.
Participants will apply a Zoom background to their image or have a wall as their background during Zoom meetings where their camera is on. This is so others in the household or other personal information cannot be seen in the background of videos.
Participants and Parents/Guardians understand that Staff remain mandated reporters while working with campers in the virtual setting.
Participants will not share Zoom passwords or links with anyone.
Participants will check with their parent/guardian before downloading any software to their computer.
Participants agree to tell a trusted adult immediately if something makes them uncomfortable, upset, or fearful. Everything that happens while they are participating in Camp OptimisTIC should be something they are excited to share and feel very comfortable sharing. If something is not, it is critical to let a trusted adult know right away.
Participants and Parents/Guardians understand that a Staff member running an activity virtually is not a substitute for in-person supervision. The Parent/Guardian is responsible for ensuring that their camper has a safe space in which to participate in Camp OptimisTIC activities.
While TIC will thoroughly vet any program participants need to download for an activity, TIC is not responsible for any viruses, malfunctions, or cybersecurity risks incurred as a result.
Only campers registered for Camp OptimisTIC may participate in the program offerings and may only participate in the offerings they are specifically registered for. Participants are prohibited from recording any Camp OptimisTIC activities.
Participants understand that, just like at camp, participation in any activity is their choice. If they do not want to participate in any aspect of the offerings of Camp OptimisTIC, that is okay.
TIC Staff have the right to ask any participants that do not follow the above Participation Terms to leave the session and year-round staff may issue warnings and temporary or permanent bans from Camp OptimisTIC sessions.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
If camper does not participate in an option or session they are registered for, there will be no refund.
Cancellations sent one week or more prior to the session will be fully refunded. Notice given less than one week will not be eligible for refunds.
